Take a plunge into the royal life of French Kings & Queens. Picardy offers enchanting castles, a grand art collection, delectable cuisine, majestic gardens and much more!

Chantilly is a historic town famous for its Royal Château, delicate lace and delicious whipped cream called “crème Chantilly”. In the morning, visit the Chantilly Castle and discover France’s second largest ancient art collection after the Louvre. Stroll the majestic gardens that surround the castle designed by the celebrated landscape architect André le Nôtre. If you have time, don’t miss the ancient stables of the Musée du Cheval, the horse museum, which also hosts an exciting horse spectacle!

After a lunch break, proceed to Compiègne to visit its magnificent palace that holds imperial apartments. It is said to be one of Napoleon’s favorite palaces.

The edge of the Compiègne Forest reveals a vision straight out of a fairy tale — the remarkable medieval fortress of Pierrefonds. As you stroll the streets of this village, be prepared to be mesmerized by stunning views of this ancient fortress.

After spending the day taking in the regal sights of Picardy, head back to Paris for a relaxing evening.
